Following the formal proceedings of the AGM, members gathered for the CASK Reunion 2025, a vibrant celebration of Konkani culture, community spirit, and artistic excellence.
Master of Ceremonies
The event was anchored by Dr. Rohan Monis, Vice President of CASK, whose spirited hosting set the tone for an afternoon of joy and nostalgia.
Cultural Highlights
- Prayer Dance by Remona Evette Pereira, a Bharatanatyam recital honoring her 170-hour world record performance. CASK team also conferred on her the CASK Mothiya Puraskar for her achievements.
- Konkani Samskriti – A spoken tribute to Konkani heritage by Sancia.
- Ghumot Experience – Percussive rhythms by Prajwal & Shavil.
- Dekkni Naach – Semi-classical Goan dance by Melvita’s troupe.
- Tonniyo Naach – Folk dance by Romith and team.
- Mando Performance – Melodic verses by Franklin.
All performances were curated under the guidance of Mrs. Flora Castelino, whose dedication to Konkani arts was deeply appreciated.
CASK Office Staff Ms.Prathima was honoured for her work and commitment towards CASK objectives. A small token of appreciation from CASK was given to her.
Community Engagement
The event concluded with a lively round of Housie Housie (Bingo), led by Ms. Jinette Dsouza, bringing laughter and camaraderie to the fore.
These two events, one of governance and reflection, the other of culture and celebration, together reaffirm CASK’s dual commitment to legacy and progress, accountability and joy, and tradition and transformation.
