The October 2026 issue of Mangalore marks a new chapter for the Catholic Association of South Kanara, as Dr. Eric C. Lobo takes office as President for 2026–28 at the 113th Annual General Body Meeting. Editor Prof. Dr. Paul G. Aquinas describes the issue as a celebration of members changing with the times, including bringing Gen Z into the governing council, while preserving CASK’s identity, values and voice. The President’s message echoes this: “Our history gives us roots; our vision must give us wings.”
The new team combines experience and youth, and aims to make CASK more connected, more inclusive and more meaningful to the community. A first priority is reconnecting with members, especially senior members who have contributed to CASK’s journey. October is also the Month of the Holy Rosary, and the Editor invites readers to let every bead prayed remind them of hope, peace and the power of prayer.
The issue introduces a new feature, the Secretary’s Corner, which showcases CASK’s work, while the regular features continue. Together, the two messages call on members to honour the past, serve the present and build the future together. To read more, please read this months edition of Mangalore Magazine – Click here.
