The August 2026 issue of Mangalore magazine marks the 112th anniversary of the Catholic Association of South Kanara (CASK) and celebrates a legacy built on faith, unity, and service. Editor Prof. Dr. Paul G. Aquinas and President Ronald I. Gomes highlight the symbolic convergence of India’s 80th Independence Day and the Feast of the Assumption on August 15. The President also addresses recent organizational challenges, specifically the disruption of the Extraordinary General Body Meeting regarding the Memorandum of Association, calling for members to prioritize the common good over personal interests. Through dialogue and mutual respect, the community is urged to preserve the dignity of its century-old institution. Ultimately, this edition serves as a spiritual compass, inviting the faithful to entrust their lives to the maternal care of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
