President Droupadi Murmu led the nation in celebrating the 76th Republic Day from Kartavya Path in New Delhi. The Republic Day Parade began at Kartayva Path and showcased India’s cultural diversity and military prowess through tableaux and marching contingents. PM Modi greeted by wishing genie Indians ‘May this occasion strengthen efforts towards preserving ideals of Constitution’.
Republic Day marks the adoption of India’s constitution and the country’s transition to a republic on January 26, 1950. Every year, the celebrations marking the day feature spectacular military and cultural pageantry. In New Delhi, armed forces personnel march along the Kartavya Path in an elaborate display of military might.
